tryptamin | i came here to report a compile failure with mupdf-1.9a on FreeBSD 9.3. | 02:26.23 |
| Makethird has a C++ compile option set called '--std=c++0x', but there is no GCC option like that. | 02:28.42 |
| Nor any option like --std=c++ ... | 02:29.18 |
| After removing the bad option, compiling continues, with many | 02:29.43 |
| 'warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules' warnings. | 02:30.22 |
| I am trying MuPDF, and I like it a lot, but I wish it had the Xpdf command-line tools, such as PDFtoPS (for printing PDF's), and PDFtoPPM (for graphics editing), and PPMtoPDF (to make PDFs from images), etc. And I wish it had better keyboard control functionality, off the top of my head: | 02:33.15 |
| a) i wish left-click dragging with the mouse hightlighted, instead of requiring a CTRL key *and* a mouse drag. | 02:33.59 |
| b) i wish PgUp/PgDn scrolled screenful-by-screenful instead of jumping pages without any scrolling (i think it does this, but i only used it a few times). | 02:35.36 |
| c) i wish the command-line options were more fully featured so that keystrokes are not required once the document is open, so that one can always open a PDF that will fill a certain portion of the display and have a viewable presentation. | 02:37.34 |
| that's all! it's a great project, and greatly needed! | 02:38.15 |
| thanks! | 02:38.17 |
| i am compiling MuPDF on FreeBSD 9.3, and with MuPDF-1.8, there is mupdf-x11 and mupdf-x11-curl in build/debug; after inserting 'HAVE_GLFW = no' in the Makefile (after the 'include Makerules' and 'include Makethird' lines). But with MuPDF-1.9a, no form of 'mupdf' is built at all. Only 'mutool' and 'mujstest'. | 05:54.54 |
| i am not expert enough to figure out the problem, but i am willing to help make it compile correctly on FreeBSD if i can get any hints on how i may resolve the problem. | 05:56.14 |
