[bug-gs] /VMerror in --filenameforall--

I just started playing around with gs 8.11 and am able to convert a
postscript file to pdf on windows but not on hp/ux.  Running

${GS811}/bin/gs -q -dDEBUG -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -sDEVICE=pdfwrite
-I${GS811}/fonts/Soft_Horizons -I${GS811}/lib -sOutputFile=escher.pdf
${GS811}/examples/escher.ps

correctly creates escher.pdf for windows, but generates the following error
on hp/ux

While reading gs_dbt_e.ps:
Error: /VMerror in --filenameforall--

Current file position is 6170

I also had to change line 413 of src/unixansi.mak, replacing 8 spaces with a
tab, in order to get make to work.  

Help please.  We have licensed using the Artifax licence.
