[bug-gs] ghostview/ghostscript bug

Hi All,
 
We are attempting to run ghostscript 8.0 and ghostview 1.5 on our
Solaris 8 network.  After installing the latest versions of:
 
Libpng-1.2.4
Zlib-1.1.4
Jpeg-6b
Libgcc-3.3
And the latest font collection from the ghostscript website
 
the installation appeared to be successful, and it can display the
formats it is supposed to be able to display.
 
Our problem comes from .eps and .ps files.some, though not all,
postscript and encapsulated postscript files have lines on them which
can obscure the rest of the image or render it unreadable.  Using the
converters we can change the image to a pdf file and we can display it
properly without the lines, but not the .ps or .eps files.
