[bug-gs] issue when no more file descriptors for fonts

I can't remember if this has been mentioned before but
I'm having an issue when I open lots of fonts in the
same postscript file.

I found ghostscript stuck in an infinite loop with a
piece of quark (4.11) postscript which contained

/findfont [/findfont load{stopped{pop/Courier
findfont}if}aload pop]cvx bind def

this is undoubtable a stupid this for quark to do if
courier is not available, but as courier was
available, I investigated further.

Looking at a truss output, gs is closing font file
descriptors, but not all the time & with the limit set
to 64 open file descriptors after a few hundred fonts
ghostscript cannot open more

I'm not sure you can rely on there being enough file
descriptors & this may be a bug.
