[bug-gs] when converts ps to pdf, spaces become square boxes ( )

Hi,

  The version I am using is Artifex Ghostscript 8.13.

  When I tried to convert a postscript file into a pdf file, the space in the ps file get turned into a square box when looking at it using Adobe reader 6.0.  I have attached the postscript file I used.  And the resulting pdf file.

The command I called is:
/export/ctshiu/dazelE/bin/gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite -I/export/ctshiu/dazelE/lib/FONTS/Soft_Horizons -I/export/ctshiu/dazelE/lib/PS -q -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -dSAFER -dSHORTERRORS -dWRITESYSTEMDICT -dGHOSTSCRIPT -sOutputFile=- 3pageportrait.ps > test.pdf

This did not happen before when we were using Aladdin Ghostscript 6.12.

Please advice.
