Hi all!

Please point your browsers at:

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=36725

Apparently, a certain mixed Hebrew/English document I wrote in OpenOffice.org
1.1.x and exported into PDF, generates a PDF that is rendered as mostly blank
using ghostscript 7.07-25mdk. (but is viewed OK with xpdf and Acrobat
Reader).

I was able to export a different mixed Hebrew/English document I have to a
PDF which is handled fine by ghostscript.

The PDF is attached to the bug report:

http://xrl.us/ed7w

The OpenOffice guys have decided to close this bug, because they believed it
was a limitation of ghostscript and not something that OpenOffice does wrong.
[1] So I'm trying to solve it from this end. So my question is whether the is
there something wrong with the PDF (not well-formed enough), or is it just a
bug in this particular version of ghostscript that can be fixed by an
upgrade, or will be fixed in the future.

Regards,

	Shlomi Fish

[1] - if you ask me, they are wrong, because ghostscript is very commonly
used to render PDFs that one cannot afford to ignore its limitations. It's
like writing a C program that gcc mis-compiles.
