[bug-gs] Font other; Font std missing,

I don't know if this is a bug in the documentation or simply a case of
missing files from the download area or both.

I'm trying to install Ghostscript GPL 8.50 and have read the
documentation on the official ghostscript site which states:

(Note as yet there doesn't appear to be any doco for 8.50 so I've used
the 8.15 doco)

http://www.ghostscript.com/doc/GPL/8.15/Install.htm

      /3.1 Fonts/

/ The makefile installs all the files except fonts under the directory
defined in the makefile as *prefix*. Fonts need to be installed
separately. The fonts should be installed in
/{prefix}//share/ghostscript/fonts. (That is,
/usr/local/share/ghostscript/fonts/ if you used the default
configuration above.)/

However the documentation doesn't go on to tell you how to install the
fonts.

On reading the documentation for building ghostscript I find the following:
http://www.ghostscript.com/doc/GPL/8.15/Make.htm

      /3.1 Ghostscript source code/

/ There are two kinds of Ghostscript distributions available, called
"AFPL Ghostscript" and "GNU Ghostscript"; the distinction between them
is explained in the conditions for distributing Ghostscript
<http://www.ghostscript.com/doc/GPL/8.15/Commprod.htm>. The
authoritative distribution site for AFPL Ghostscript is /

    /ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/AFPL/gs### /

/ where "###" is the unpunctuated version number. GNU Ghostscript should
be available on all GNU sites, such as /

    /ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu//

/ Ghostscript source code is packaged in two different formats:
gzip-compressed tar files (**.tar.gz*) and zip files (**.zip*). For all
versions there are gzip-compressed tar files: /

    /*ghostscript-*#.##*.tar.gz*
    *ghostscript-fonts-std-*#.##*.tar.gz*
    *ghostscript-fonts-other-*#.##*.tar.gz

    */

The indicated site however doesn't have an appropriate versioned file
for either fonts-std nor fonts-other.
There is a version 6.0 for fonts-other and a version 8.11 for fonts-std.

So can you please:
Post details of which files to download and update the documentation.
Post details of how to install the fonts and update the documentation.
As well can you post appropriately versioned files for fonts-other and
fonts-std or post details on the documentation site indicating that the
older versions of the font files will work with the most recently
available version of ghostscript.

Frustratedly Yours,
Brett Sutton.
