You have to compile pcl with debug for page count to work properly and
it goes to the error stream not the stdout stream.  I know that seems
odd but the code "grew" out of some debug code and hasn't seen any
production use.  Have a look at tools/viewer, which is a pcl viewer
program written in java, it uses PageCount.
