Understandably folks get mixed up about the licensing; there is no GPL
version of ghostpcl, only AFPL.  This license allows for free use for
non commercial users but would prohibit embedding pcl in a product and
subsequently selling that product.  Information about licensing for
commercial users can be found at www.artifex.com/licencing.  As a
commercial user Artifex would answer questions and probably assist in
building the product.  Hope that helps.
