           Summary: siscale.c contrast degradation
           Product: Ghostscript
           Version: HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P4
         Component: Graphics Library
        AssignedTo: leonardo at artifex.com
        ReportedBy: leonardo at artifex.com
         QAContact: gs-bugs at ghostscript.com

A recent change to siscale.c shifted 'center' to 0.5 source pixels. It causes
the kernel center to shift between source pixels, so that an output pixel is
always near average of 4 source ones. It causes a degradation of contrast. Need
a better method for shifting the image in the output space.
