The customer reports and I've verified that gshead (r8520) has trouble
converting the attached PDF files to TIFF (the customer is using tiffg4, but
tiff24nc also has issues).  Ghostscript produces no warnings or errors, but the
resultant TIFF files are not valid.  Converting to other file types (i.e.
ppmraw) works correctly.

The command line I'm using for testing:

  bin/gs -sDEVICE=tiffg4 -o file1.tif ./2274975.PDF

In a likely related issue, using gs8.61 instead of gshead results in a seg.
fault and core dump.
