------- Additional Comments From vancejc at gmail.com 2008-01-04 08:03 -------
When going in and trying to reproduce the bug this morning, I found that I was
actually not able to do so. We put in a few changes last night to the way
that we deal with fonts, and it looks like for some reason our horizontal
metrics were reading the left binding shift incorrectly for each glyph, which
was causing this problem to show up in ghostpcl.

It seems that our HP test printers doesn't actually even read the left binding
shift when rendering glyphs, as it didn't show this problem at all. So our
bad values were getting sent to it, but then passed through without any issue.

So I believe that this issue was on our side, and just happened to pass
through the HP printers due to some fluke. Sorry for sending you on a goose
chase! But thank you for all your help.

Also, if you wanted me to attach another test file with mshei.ttf included I
can do so, I have a few samples from various printers.
