can you confirm the echogs command segfaults on its own?

$ ./soobj/echogs -w ./soobj/devs.tr - -include ./soobj/unix_

If that fails, please try:

$ gdb --args ./soobj/echogs -w ./soobj/devs.tr - -include ./soobj/unix_
(gdb) run
...
(gdb) bt

and paste the output.
