Used the following command lines:

gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite =sOutputFile=./test.pdf ./test.ps
gs -sDEVICE=pdfwrite =sOutputFile=./test1.pdf ./test1.ps

The resulting PDF files contain URI links as expected, in the same locations on
the media as files produced with Adobe Acrobat Distiller. Opening these files
in Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.1 the links can be clicked and open the
relevant web page.
