Went to check this issue with the latest version of GS, incorporating the
FreeType font engine, as I believe it may improve matters. Unfortunately the
original reporter did not attach the source files, and the URL now results in a
404 page not found error.

Closing as 'invalid', only because I have no test case. I'm willing to have
this reopened if a test file is attached.
