Replacing the "-1"s in the code piece of the previous comment by "1"s fixes
this bug and bug #690435, but I do not know why this works. I found it out
simply by testing. So this is not necessarily the correct solution but also
only a workaround.

I have committed it as SVN rev. 12007 for the time being.
