I have been looking some more at the problem, and it seems that every
pdf-viewer that I tried can correctly display this file, except GS. Some of
them are Foxit Reader, PDF-XChange and of course Adobe Acrobat.

In fact, the font SimplifiedArabic-Bold does exist on every Windows computer,
except that GS doesn't use it.

Why doesn't GS, as a simple fail-back measure, try to find a non-CID font of
the same name ?
