Created an attachment (id=8024)
 --> (http://bugs.ghostscript.com/attachment.cgi?id=8024)
run-time profile with -dNOGC

Adding -dNOGC to the command line reduces the cpu time from 2857.61 sec to
207.62 sec (13.8 X faster) while increasing memory usage from 98 MB to 121 MB
(1.2 X).
I have attached a run-time profile of a run with -dNOGC.
Since I did the other timing runs with garbage collection enabled, I suspect
that the faster run time with -dNOGC in gs9.04 is a symptom of something in
gs9.04 making a lot more memory allocations than gs8.33 rather than a problem
with the memory allocation and garbage collection.
