Summary: Difference in character height vs. HP printers
           Product: GhostPCL
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P4
         Component: PCL fonts
        AssignedTo: henry.stiles at artifex.com
        ReportedBy: marcos.woehrmann at artifex.com
         QAContact: gs-bugs at ghostscript.com

The customer reports that there is a noticeable difference in the height of
numbers vs letters in the output of GhostPCL vs. printing the PCL file on an HP
printer.

I've taken the customer's original file and printed it on a variety of HP
LaserJets and converted to bitmap via GhostPCL 9.05. I've also generated
bitmaps using the Courier and Courier New fonts that come with Mac OS X 10.7
using Photoshop and finally printed the text as a PostScript file on an HP
LaserJet. As you can see from the attached number_height.png file there is a
difference between the height of numbers vs. letters when using GhostPCL,
Photoshop, or PostScript to rasterize vs. having PCL built into an HP printer
perform the rasterization.
