This is simply an update of the Ghostscript engine; you'll still need to use it with a viewer application like <a href="http://www.ghostscript.com/macos/index.htm">MacGSView</a>. Simply replace the various pieces with the updated versions from the macgs-800-shlib folder. For MacGSView 2.0beta4, the important pieces are the 'GhostscriptLib PPC' file in the Extensions Folder, and the 'lib' directory in Application Support:Ghostscript inside the system folder.

To compile MacOS shared component from source, you just need the <a
href="http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ghostscript/macgs-850-src.sit">macgs-850-src.sit</a>
archive available from the same locations, and Metrowerks Codewarrior v8
(or above). This archive contains all the third party libraries required
to build Ghostscript, but not the source to the viewer application or
the standard fontset (see above) required for text rendering.
