[Gs-devel] GNU Ghostscript 6.53 release

In the spirit of the season, GNU Ghostscript 6.53 is now available for 
you pleasure. Source distributions are up now on sourceforge, and will 
be on wisc after the mirror sync. You can also get them from casper:

     http://casper.ghostscript.com/~giles/ghostscript.-6.53.tar.gz

As with the recent 7.04 release, the most important reason to upgrade is 
the security update, but this release also features asian language 
support from the gs-cjk project, autoconf build support, integration of 
the new IJS library for communicating with stand-alone printer drivers, 
inclusion of the Gimp-Print driver, and an improved hl12x driver.

If there are no embarrassing bugs discovered, we'll make a wider 
announcement after the wisc.edu site updates. Builds for various 
platforms will appear as people get to them.
