This sound very good for me, thanks to your interest in this area. If
you want I can list the changes made in GNU version for beginning the
merge process. Also, I will ask the guys from esp-ghostscript to discuss
an eventual cooperation.

This sound also good for me, they've apply this numbering to GNU version
for a question of simplicity and AFPL/GPL ghostscript have always a
non-linear numbering policy ;)

They can apply, like esp-ghostscript, a micro-version numbering, or an
extension like -g1. I will investigate in this ways for a lesser
confusion in gs  domain :)
