[gs-devel] PDF/A conversion

Hi everybody,

I have a question:
How far the PDF/A standard is implemented in the current
version of ghostscript?

I converted some postscript files into pdfs using the ps2pdf
command and then I validated the produced pdfs with
a PDF/A validator. Unfortunately the validator found some bugs:

E.g. there is no MarkInfo dictionary included
in the pdfs I produced using the -dPDFA option. So I'm
wondering if ghostscript can produce "Tagged pdfs"?

Another problem I have found so far are missing "/ToUnicode"
keys.

May be I want to implement the missing parts of the
PDF/A conversion routines.
Do you have any idea how much work still has to be done and
how much time it might take for one person to get ghostscript
conversion PDF/A-1a compliant?
