[gs-devel] CJK patches for Ghostscript

Ralph, et. al.,

I'd also like to solicit Suzuki Toshiya (mpsuzuki at hiroshima-u.ac.jp)
on this issue. He was  a member of the gs-cjk development team and,
I believe, has given presentations to the linux community on the
problems in Igor's TTF CIDFont emulation methodology (as exists in
gs 8.60 PRE-RELEASE) with some vertical writing and other issues.

Let's all see if we can get the facts and get this issue properly
resolved before doing the 'merge' release so we don't see regressions
in the CJK printing world.

Any specific problems with gs HEAD (8.57 and later) should be put
into bugs.ghostscript.com so we can track them.
