I've been reading Use.htm, which is in gs/gs8.60/doc/ (that's how I knew
about the commands that I originally tried), and now I've tried the command
line version and your suggested commands. Same problem with errors. See the
snapshot at http://www.polisource.com/misc/ghostscript-errors.gif .

My OCR software is HP Document Viewer 7, and it can't batch translate files,
so a separate file for each page would be a problem, but I'd still like to
figure out how to use Ghostscript, at least a little. It works with XNView
and GSView, but I can't seem to do any command line stuff.
