Alex,

In r5015, you say, "Although nmake overrides internal definitions when 
called from command line, it doesn't do so when the makefile is invoked 
from Development Studio."

Do you know what switch it's passing to achieve this? Or does 
Development Studio not really use nmake?

I'm mostly just curious. It would be really nice ot remove all those 
!ifndef lines.
