The usual arms race. We used to have a whitelist keyword, but that 
just killed discussion, so I took it off. We don't have time to 
hand-moderate things, so occassionally messages will slip through
the filters. I think that's better than not having a discussion at all.

At some points, we were marking new subscribers as 'moderate by default' 
to guard against bots subscribing before sending. It appears you were in 
this category.
