[gs-devel] Ghostscript 8.60 - black screen with anything but A4 display

Does anyone know what would cause a black screen to display with anything
but A4 (portrait, letter size) display?
I'm integrating GS 8.60 into a cockpit display application, upgrading from
gs 7.05. Could I have left out a new file I might need?
Any clues would be helpful.
