[gs-devel] Ghostscript 8.60 - black screen with anything but A4 display

Hi Cheri,

I haven't seen this. One thing I recommend with 8.60 is to make sure
that you have "COMPILE_INITS=1" in your makefile. This is set by default
in the linux/unix makefiles but (unfortunately) not in the MSVC makefile.

If you are building on Windows, you can edit src/msvc32.mak or simply
invoke nmake with 'nmake -f src/msvc32.mak COMPILE_INITS=1' (I don't
recall if you are working on unix/linux or Windows).

The 'black screen' doesn't sound familiar.

If you want help, please submit a bug with your build info and sample
file and command line so we can see if we can duplicate the problem.
