[gs-devel] COMPILE_INITS=1

Hello,

I'd like to compile ghostscript with COMPILE_INITS=1. If I have understood
correctly, COMPILE_INITS=1 should make a exe+dll that runs without needing
to use other files (lib,...). Am I right?

I have tryed to compile Ghostscript 8.61 with COMPILE_INITS=1 but the option
is ignored. The resulting exe+dll need lib files. Infact if I run the exe on
a machine without gs installed, I get this error:
Can't find initialization file gs_init.ps

I have changed the value of COMPILE_INITS in msvc32.mak with no success.
I have also set the option directly on the command line, with no success:
    nmake -f src\msvc32.mak DEVSTUDIO= COMPILE_INITS=1

Suggestions, ideas?

Thank you very much

Fabrizio
