I run output from pcal through gs using device pswrite to preserve the
diacritical marks amacron omacron and such (ISO-8859-4). pstoedit seems to
choke
on these "unable to map [c2]amacron from 224". Even without special
characters
in the pcal ps, 'pstoedit -f sk' makes awfully messed up, humanly unreadable
output. After I put it through pswrite, pstoedit handles the pcal ps fine.
Now using gs-svn things are breaking.
Refering to the shell commands and output below. pstoedit makes
aug-sk-oldgs-esp.ps fine but makes aug-sk-newgs.ps with errors "too much
data:
ignoring E0....." and the result is missing data. Is this a result of faulty
gs
pswrite data or the sketch plugin to pstoedit?
Why does -sDEVICE=pswrite -r9000 make such a substantial file size
difference
between gs-esp 8.15.3 and gs 8.63? How do I get this resolution without the
huge
file size with gs 8.63?
Why is this in the search path? I dont have these paths in my filesystem. Is
there an option to disable these in .configure?
Maybe the makefile could check if they exist before including them in the
search
path....?
