[gs-devel] How to prevent pdfwrite from splitting the font when embedding?

Hi,

I'd like to get a workaround for the pdfwrite of Ghostscript 8.54 (on
Debian Etch). It seems to split the font to two font objects. Here is
the example PostScript files, with command lines at the beginning:
http://www.math.bme.hu/~pts/two.ps.txt . Oddly enough, Ghostscript
8.61 doesn't split the font. Even more oddly, commenting out many
glyphs or reordering some glyphs prevents the split.

Why does the font gets split? How to prevent the splitting reliably in
Ghostscript 8.54? Unfortunately, upgrading Ghostscript or specifying
SubsetFonts=false is not an option in my situation.
