[Gs-dgs-devel] Is there a Postscript API to analyze documents...?

It has been some time that I allready asked this question. Searching the WWW 
I could only find the API to link GS as a library and use its functionality 
from inside my code.

What I am looking for is another "deeper" API that is able to parse 
Postscript documents and provides me information on different elements 
inside. With my last posting (nearly a year ago?) such an API was in early 
development and so I want to repeat my question. The ideal API would be able 
to extract objects like paths, texts, embeded eps and more.

Is there something new available on this toipic?
