[Gs-dgs-devel] regarding PS interpreter

dear all

I am a undergraduate student trying to develop a PS
editor through which I can modify the PS files (i.e I
can delete or add something in file and that change
should reflect in original PS file too).
Since I am mainly concerned about the modification
part.But for this I have to understand the working of
PS interpreter.SO,can anyone please mail me about how
the ghostscript interpreter taking the file as input
and how and where in code it is directing the output.
Since I am not interested in studing whole ghostscript
codes. So, if anyone tell me where it is giving output
and how it is processing the input file ,I can embed
my code so that it can modify the original PS file
without any formatting loss.Also i want to know how i
can redirect it's output to a particular file.Right
now i need only for text input ouput(not images or
graphics etc,just simple text files)
I shall be highly oblized to anyone for kind support
