[gs-regression] error running regression

I took a look at this, but couldn't figure out what was going up. The 
svn checkout was old, but updated no problem. run_nightly seems to want
to pull from cvs, which clearly isn't happening. 

Tim, do you know what's going on? I'll stop poking in case I'm stepping 
on your toes.
