[Gs-text-api] Kerning difficulties

Hello,

I tried to search this list's archives, but the link on the site 
looks like it may be broken. My apologies if this issue has been 
covered in the past, I can't get to the archives.

I'm having difficulty with the kerning of a Type 1 Postscript font in 
GS. The kerning is really bad, horrible when compared to defaults. Is 
there any information regarding this problem available?
