Hello,
After upgrading a Linux box from RH 7.2 to RH 7.3, ghostview suddenly
became extremely slow in rendering over an X connection, as someone else
has previously complained on the valhalla list:
https://listman.redhat.com/pipermail/valhalla-list/2002-July/010298.html
I did not see an answer to this question. I tried both upgrading to the
RH 7.3 upgrade ghostscript-6.52-9.4.i386.rpm and also to go back to the
older RH 7.2 version, but it did not help.
Note that kghostview or ggv do not share this problem, so it is
something with ghostview. Also plain ghostscript renders fast as well.
The same thing happened on two machines, with different graphics
architectures, so it is probably not hardware either.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Aleksandar
