[mac-gs] gtk related error compiling Ghostscritpt.framework?

First of all this is my first post--sorry if this is not the right list 
for Mac OS X issues.

I have attempted to compile Ghostscript.framework using the Mac OS X 
build instructions included with ghostscript-7.05. I get the following 
error:

zsh: command not found: gtk-config
zsh: command not found: gtk-config
./src/dxmain.c:36: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory

Since I didn't notice any information about gtk (this is related to the 
GIMP project, right?) in the docs, I was hoping someone on the list 
could shed some light on my problem.
