Dear Sir,

This little problem may well already have come to you and passed its use-by
date in the process ...

It's about MacGSview (2.0.b3) which I have attempted to use with the latest
Adobe PS driver v.8.8 to render a *.pdf file from a (3.3Mb) *.PS file which
does work well with:

1. MacGS-550 - simply dropping the PS file on it while holding the 'option'
key. This results in a 176Kb *.pdf file.
2. Jim Walker's 'PrintToPDF' application which delivers an excellent result
as well, the more so as the *.pdf file is only 104Kb in size ...

[The same file sent to Adobe (US) for conversion (a friendly gesture!) came
back somewhat the worse for wear with squashed sentences and partly in what
I think is type 'Courier'. Didn't like travelling at night, I suppose.]

But MacGsView is not in this race. The same PS cannot be dropped on it and
attempting to 'convert' it (FILE menu) soon gives an identical message:

"Ghostscript 1.9493624 has encountered an error (-100) rendering the file...
The page may not be displayed completely" - [abort].

The process may then go as far as an 'export' panel but then (unexpectedly?)
MacGSView quits (error -2).

I suppose I am simply trying to equal, on both counts, the result obtained
with JW's software. Can you make a suggestion in the case perhaps?

Greetings:
