[mac-gs] Help needed

Hello,

I don't really know if I can bother you with my problem, but your E-mail was
provided with the files I loaded when trying to get a Ghostscript
application.

My problem is the following :

I work on Macintosh Power G4

I want to create Pdf format files from any of my current files, such as Word
or Exel.

So I loaded what was supposed to be the package Ghostscript and GSview.

I follow carefully the instructions given and I use the pilot for
Laserwriter 8 although I do not have this printer (I use a classical Epson
Stylus 740).

In the selector I choose the Laserwriter, then after the command "print", in
the window  I choose "register" the file instead of "print", and here is the
problem : I do not get the expected file named file.ps.

Note that with the example-files.ps provided by the loading I can correctly
create the example-files.pdf by putting them on the Macgsview icon, so it
seems that the problem is that I do not have the Ghostscript sofware
running.

I would be so grateful if anybody could help me solve what drives me
crazy.
