mvrhel_laptop aha. the decode array is not getting applied when we take the image data to xpswrite device06:09.09
that is going to take a bit to fix. bed time now06:14.36
McErroneous Hi , how do i address my hp-deskjet-3745 with ghostscript ? "gs -h" doesn't show my printer, although printing using cups is working. So how do i verify how cups is using ghostscript to convert any file into an (printer specific format), is there maybe a logfile, i could check ?08:37.51
lp - command is also working ..., but i want to know what is happening in the background, especially the parameters passed to gs via cups, to produce the output..08:45.31
Robin_Watts McErroneous: You want to talk to someone knowledgable about cups.08:51.30
There is at least 1 guy here (tkamppeter)08:51.50
McErroneous ahh, okay...., by the way..., the missing file was produced by a typing-mistake of the "s-DEVICE"-option erroneousliy i typed "-sDevice", since my manuals has some shortcommings, same mistake i did be with the missing '=' after the "-sOutputFile"-option08:57.58
kens There's a method for getting the output from CUPS, Till has posted a URL here in the past, maybe a log search will fiond it.08:59.03

McErroneous thx.. :)09:01.30
kens Oh, a new lossy compression codec. At least its open source09:04.00
Ah but its still patent encumebred, of course.09:04.33
Robin_Watts kens: And the example decoding lib is (at least partially) LGPL.09:14.11
kens Yeh, I noticed. Still patent issuesw though (which is no surprise)09:14.33
LGPL is less of a problem than that09:14.50
That's weird, my mail just delivered an email from 201309:16.10
