kens | mancha, yes you can change the transformation matrix that pdfwrite uses, even when the input is a PDF file, but its non-trivial to do so, because the PDF itnerpreter performs an initgraphics (which resets the matrix). You have to do some extra work in PostScript using parts of the PDF interpreter itself to manually draw each page.
