Adcock | Hi | 08:20.26 |
mubot | Welcome to #mupdf, the channel for MuPDF. If you have a question, please ask it, don't ask to ask it. Do be prepared to wait for a reply as devs will check the logs and reply when they come on line. | 08:20.26 |
Adcock | Is there any FOSS program to convert .tif images to pdf with MRC compression? | 08:20.40 |
| MRC as in mixed raster content model | 08:21.41 |
| Like one in djvu | 08:21.58 |
kens | You would have to identify the areas of the ITFF image which are'text' and which are photographic, and then split the images uip for separate compression. I dopn't knwo of any tool to do that, and it would have problems. The images might not butt up precisely against each other at certain rendering resolutions, which would lead to 'craks' between them. | 08:24.02 |
| Hmm, OK it does it with masks | 08:25.37 |
| SO no I don't know of any tool which does that. | 08:25.47 |
| At least, not open source, there are apparently commercial tools | 08:26.50 |
Adcock | Too bad | 12:03.08 |
| :( | 12:03.11 |
| No open tools :( | 12:03.18 |
