It looks to me the patch attached to bug #690146 comment #6 could help.
Note that if you want to try it, you need to compile from source, because 
the affected files are stored in the %rom% filesystem.


- Ghostscript includes a default, empty cidfmap located in %rom%Resource/Init/;
- currently, GS loads only one cidfmap, the 1st one it finds;
- given the search path from comment #2, the empty %rom%Resource/Init/cidfmap
  will ‘mask’ any cidfmap placed in a directory later on the search path 
  (unless that directory is also in GS_LIB or -I, as these come before 
  the default search path).
