[gs-devel] Can Ghostscript stream PDF?

Thank you all for all the info.

I think for the Foomatic/Ghostscript Printer Application the best is to 
encapsulate the Raster input data in PostScript and use the standard 
Ghostscript package (built from source for the Snap). This way I can 
leave both foomatic-rip and Ghostscript completely unchanged, avoiding 
any problems of these old drivers ceasing to work, especially as I 
cannot test them.

Especially most important is that the legacy drivers keep working at 
all, not to try to find the best color reproduction (if such old 
printers were well calibrated).
